Aquatic Dreams or Wet Dreams? You decide…
Take eleven surfers on a three different trips through Western Australia, Bali and on the Mentawais all from different surfing back grounds and throw in a range of epic and fun waves and you have yourself an “AQUATIC DREAM”.
The film is beautiful flowing surf move showcasing some of the most sizzling surfing showcased in a surf movie in 2006…
The piece in Western Australia in a remote right hand wave is unbelievably perfect six to eight feet amazing, Jay Phillips, Jay Davies and Dean Harrington thread some of the best barrels ever caught on 16mm film and tape in Western Australia.
Taj Burrow, Jay Phillips and Kirby Brown take you on a little journey through Bali with adding in a few comments of wisdom but overall simply surf all over the playful Balinese waves making every viewer wish you could be on their surf trip.

A crew of six including the power house surfing of the newly crowned 2005 World Junior Champ Kekoa Bacalso set sail through the Mentowis late November and score some fun epic sessions nothing perfect like September Sessions was but the surfing is simply outrageous and the conditions are the kind you wish you could have the chance to surf everyday.
Taj Burrow may come from Yallingup Western Australia, but his understudy Jay Davies is only nineteen years old and features strongly in the movie and shows why people are calling his talent range one the best to come out of Western Australia in the last three years, which is suprising considering Yadin Nicol and Ry Craike are two of the most popular surfers in the world also coming from Western Australia.
Dean Morrison steals the show with commitment and flow the perfect balance that any surfer can possess his carves have speed to burn and his backhand display of surfing ridiculous.
Ozzie Wright is a classic performer throwing in some of his newly developed musical talents straight out from his ever hot ban “THE GOONS OF DOOM”. His surfing on a beautiful fat fishy board making it flow and glide through the air like Supermans capes does.
Wade Goodall makes surfing beyond the lip and fins out every turn his surfing both in Bali and on the Mentowis trip, this new school kid is second to none, and when is comes to high energy surfing and aerial antics Goodall packs them all completing a full rotation backhand rodeo clown with ease and style, superman air walks are another one of Goodalls freakish moves not to mention his ever loveable Passion Pops.
Yadin Nicol is another surfer who makes the viewer watch his display of surfing and think where can surfing go from here his overall talent is showcased in the film and its easy to see why he is Hurley Internationals main global focus.
Asher Pacey has had more American covers on magazines than other free surfer in the last nine months, his smooth as silk style really shows through in this film and lets you enjoy his every beautiful classic lines that only a free surfer can always draw from.
Overall the sound track is really diverse and fresh, it never gets you feeling board with repetitive beats that drain your energy, you can always listen to the beats and it keeps you excited to view the film with its original sound track.
The DVD is amazing it plays three ways with full programmable options makes the DVD a classic as you can enjoy the variations that only a Matt Gye and Shagga DVD have to offer.
