I started laying the copies out in my office and when I ran out of room I put them on the floor in the hallway. Categorized by year the editorial and ad staff from both Surfer and Powder starting coming around and making suggestions, ogling at the history and pointing out their favorites. From Randy Ward and Steve Casimiro to Pezman, Ben Marcus, Warshaw, Girard, Servais, Lauralyn, Byron and the whole crew. They smiled and laughed at me daily as I did the mad hatter treatement switching this one here and that one there. Even Art Brewer had a few choice favorites to pick. It was so much fun.

When I took it to Surf Expo (who was more than happy to let us put it up) the response was incredible. Everyone loved the format. It was so popular that by the second day holes started showing on the boards where certain ads had been lifted out and taken home by someone as a keepsake. I bet we lost a dozen ads.
