Surfer Magazine Art Show

| 1 2 3 4 5 |

The idea was to build and preview an advertising art gallery at the upcoming trade show in Orlando, Florida held in January each year. Surf Expo is a great venue for the surf world and a fun trade exhibition where the attendance is hard-core surf and the vibe generally mellow. We as Californians' always looked forward to these show.

I was to put the ads, in a black and white glossy format from the original film, on 8 x 10 inch foam core. We would then attach Velcro to the back and hang each like a plaque on a large, cloth-covered easel that was 4' wide by 8' long. The entire installation was then to be set up in the foyer at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando as part of the Surf Expo. The idea was to put it in the hallway so surfers, attendees and media types could wind thru the years and see each of the ads as an art form and a piece of history.
